I'm sorry, I don't know how this got featured on the site. Rhythm's off, and you guys are just as cliche by yelling about how crappy major label artists are. Half the people you are talking about actually only their own rights now.

And yes, I can do better. I'm not just talking shit.

HDC responds:

Jealousy takes many forms. Sometimes we see it in anger, sometimes in sadness, sometimes in 0bomb and 1-votes.

HDC understands that you wish you could free-write and spit a collab with some friends over the course of an hour whilst drunk, but you simply lack the friends or talent - or alcohol - to do it. So you are here today, frustrated and envious of our ability. And that is ok.

This was actually more repetitive than I like, but the instrumentation and the melody worked so well that it was perfect. It was like a Young Punx song that has to grow on you, but it does like a fungus. Would love to know how you got that mastered volume out of this mix.

Cool mix and all; just have heard a lot like it. Melody line was good and kept me listening, but seemed lifted from something else. Too generic.

Good mix. Reason I didn't give it 5 stars is cuz it had kind of a rap track feel where you just kind of muted certain traxx after 8 bars, brought some back in after 4 bars...kind of predictable in the arrangement is what i guess i'm sayin. Dubstep has more room to explore arrangements I think, especially if you're doin new school dub.

EternalXIII responds:

Yeah, I had actually left space intentionally because I was going to use this track for a school project where two guitarists were going to work in their parts, but we decided to make a new track instead. I'm definitely gonna rework this now that all the creative control rests on my shoulders again!

Thanks for the review.

Shit's dizzy (dope), yo. Makes me wanna dance. That's how I know if it's butter or not.

My critique is actually of your comment to Qold. I don't think good dubstep is something you have to get used to. I didn't have to get used to it. I think that comes from electro snobs mostly who don't like dubstep just on GP.

Adjeye responds:

I think if you're used to listen radio shit, classical music and progressive trannce, the wobba's and sound effects in dubstep might scare you of.. But if you listen dubstep a lot, I think it won't scare you anymore. (Looking to the average teenager).

But thanks for liking this :)

Good sounds, add punch.

I like the sounds, what would make it a completely finished polished recording is more focus on the mastering. Also, the lead slow synth is TOO LOUD. Take it down a couple dB. It was so loud as to be annoyingly distracting.

BassCrazi responds:

Will do ;) Thanks

Highs following the harp sound

Overall this track was definitely listenable...I think that the high hats following that harp sound was kind of annoying, though. I guess I want to hear more chances taken with the drums. Synths were good and epic except for that harp sound holding down the melody. I would try to experiment with that one because I've heard that sound too many times.

YakovlevArt responds:

Right>
i can hear everything your talking about.
I will definitely work on that as I'm working on it.
Thanks for a great review =]

Little too repetitive

Dubstep comes from hip hop, so there are elements of repetition in it, but the thing I like about dubstep is that there is melody in the complexity of the rhythms. This beat, while good, could use a bit more depth in terms of melodic rhythmic components.

ActionHobo responds:

Actually, Dubstep comes from UK garage music, which is like a dark DnB, but I get what you're trying to say. While Dubstep and Hip Hop are similar, they are not really related. This song isn't supposed to have any sort of melody, unlike Brostep (Skrillex, etc.). Traditional Dubstep is all about the bass and the rhythm.
